I’m a married woman with four grown children and ten grandchildren. I love to travel. My husband does not. It has taken me a very long time to wrap my head around the fact that if I was going to fulfill my dream of traveling the world I would need to find a way to do so on my own, as I don’t believe in forcing anyone to do something they don’t wholeheartedly want to do. At first it seemed pretty dismal. I had no idea how I was going to pull it off. I had no money of my own and I wasn’t about to take money out of our joint savings account to use for myself. So, I opened a piano studio in my home and earned money teaching piano lessons. After about a year, I qualified for social security and set that money aside too. Once I felt I had enough to take a trip I looked into work exchange opportunities within the countries I wanted to visit. I've loved doing that and hope to continue to do so again. Currently, I am traveling around the USA, mostly stealth camping in my minivan.
