About TimWelds
All things welding from an engineer who has had a welding side hustle since high school.
About Tim:
You might say that I have a passion for welding. I learned to weld when I was 12 years old at my Dad's auto repair shop. That interest grew with my welding side hustle during high school. I added to my knowledge by attending welding school at night while earning a mechanical engineering degree. I went on to earn a Master's Degree in Welding Engineering from The Ohio State University, where I researched welding metallurgy of nickel based alloys used in nuclear power plants. I have certified as a welding inspector (CWI) with American Welding Society and have engineered welds on many things including nuclear power plants, heavy construction equipment and jet engines. I love welding more than ever and hope to share some of the knowledge that I have gained in my career as well as things I have learned in my own small shop (which is the back 10 feet of a one car garage).
