Went by my friends house to look at a hive and him and his son were working his bees. I will walk my be yard in shorts but I will not open the hives without a shirt on. Its amazing what gentle genetics can do for you. Old beekeeper not sharing information WHY?
I just cant stand when people have information that others need but the refuse to share it. Beekeeping is just like the NSA they spy on other beekeepers and steal their information but are just like the government they will not tell you what they are doing and when they do most are telling you half… How to cut queen cells for splits and mating nucs.
Anyone can cut cells and use them to make splits. Hives that swarm at the proper time do not have swarms genetics. Now those that swarm when there is no nectar flow or swarm over and over are not the ones you really want to do this with.
