Big Tire Garage is the personal shop of Ian Johnson, and the home of the Big Tire Garage video series. If you like to see one of a kind custom vehicles be built in a true hands on/How To environment then this is the spot for you. I built my very first custom vehicle when I was 14 years old and fell in love with working on cars at a young age. Since then I have had many careers that revolve around the automotive world, I worked as a Transmission and Drive line specialist and hold both an Automotive Technician and Heavy Truck and Coach Technician Certificate.
I am a certified Transportation Technology and Welding instructor and spent just under ten years developing curriculum and teaching at technical high schools.
For the past 17 years I have worked in the television industry launching the most popular off road TV show on network TV TWICE; first Xtreme 4x4 on Spike TV, and recently FourWheeler on Motortrend Network.
