Hello and welcome! My name is James Ker-Lindsay and here I take an informed look at international relations, conflicts, security and statehood.
By way of background, I’m a research associate at the London School of Economics and Oxford University and visiting professor at the University of Kent. I hold a PhD in International Conflict Analysis and have published over a dozen books on ethnic conflicts, territorial disputes, secession and de facto states.
Join me each week for an in-depth look at history, politics and law as I explore some of the most serious and pressing issues in international politics from across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas.
