About Tieran Freedman
For the past three years, I've been cycling around the world in search of stories, from the eye-opening, to the bizarre, to the inspiring. Along the way, I've interviewed local people in 20 different countries to better understand their cultures and, in turn, my own.
Cycling the world shows you a side of countries and cultures that most travellers never get to appreciate. From 2018-19, with almost no cycling experience, I got my hands on a bike, flew it to Northern Norway, and cycled 6,000km through 11 countries to Azerbaijan. Though the physical and psychological challenge was overwhelming at times, I found motivation in the people I met on the road, the stories they had to tell, and the kindness of strangers who helped me along the way.
I've now cycle toured over 10,000km, and interviewed dozens of local people along the way. So if you want to want to explore the world through some of it's more obscure stories that you won't find anywhere else, you're in the right place!
