The space above us is vast beyond imagining. Getting there will take the focus and hard work of many generations. In order to maintain this focus, a passion for science, curiosity, and exploration needs to be ingrained in our culture. The keys to igniting this passion are education and inspiration.
By exposing more people to our scientific past, our accomplishments, current endeavors, and aspirations for the future, as well as showing them how scientific thinking is beneficial, they will become more scientifically literate, more interested, and more involved.
