My HO scale train layout is based on Colorado's Joint Line which runs along the front range of the Rockies between Denver and Pueblo. I model the Denver to Palmer Lake section on my layout and the layout is primarily set in the 1992-1995 era. The Joint Line was jointly owned and operated by the Santa Fe and Rio Grande, and Southern Pacific after the D&RGW/SP merger. It is still operated today in much the same fashion but is owned and operated by BNSF and the Union Pacific railroads.
